Today was fun...

Chii's Memories
So today at lunch I went over to my table and sat down and started telling my friend that she had a test next period (I have that class the period before lunch, she has it after) and I'm just in the middle of telling her about the text when all of a sudden I'm slipping to the side... so I land on the floor and burst out laughing because it's really funny (the chair leg had managed to bend under the chair itself).

So naturally I grab the other empty chair at our table and begin to straighten the leg back so it looks like normal. Then I put it where my other friend was going to sit (she hadn't arrived yet) and convinced my other friend (who's too nice for her own good) that she'd be fine and it would be really funny.

So my friend comes and sits down and the Crash! and she's sprawled out on the floor...
much more spectacularly than I ended up

Fortunately she seemed to find it amusing also (and didn't get hurt)

She then agreed that it'd be funny if I fixed the leg again (cheap crappy metal bends right back into place - at least temporarily) so I did, then I shoved it away from our table so someone else would grab it (our school is seriously lacking in chairs in the eating areas so I knew someone would grab it)
So finally someone does and I was excited to watch her fall when she sat on it... but she kept going farther from us and finally ended up going into the other room so we couldn't see her :( I didn't hear a crash or a scream, so I wonder if it worked...

Made my day though!

Writer's Block: Book review

What (if any) books would you ban from a high school library? Are there certain subjects that you feel are inappropriate for teenagers regardless of literary merit?

View 1427 Answers

With the exception of like serious porn novels I wouldn't ban any books from a school library.
I think especially by high school kids are old enough to choose what they want to expose themselves to. Plus I happen to be a teenager and I know that if you ban something we're twice as likely to try it (I myself actually peruse banned books lists to find new reads) :)

I have also managed to watch the entire Wallflower series... I paid attention to like 3 episodes worth of the show altogether.... not a very good one is it?

Would you rent or buy the home of your dreams if a brutal murder had taken place there? What if you got to live there rent-free? Would you think twice if neighbors warned you that it was haunted?

View 992 Answers

I think so long as there was no obvious blood stains (etc) and I hadn't been shown pictures of the crime scene I'd be fine with it..

As for hauntings, they place of my dreams doesn't look like a scary cabin in the woods so it's not like it'd be that spooky :)

SAT Recap

Chii's Memories
So the SAT went pretty well I think
I would like to hurt the person that decided the first section should be the essay though...
oh and it lasted like 5.5 hrs... wth?

And if all that fun wasn't enough, it seems like all that writing was too much for moy elbow (the one I injured last summer) because now it hurts like hell :(

Oh, and I actually remember the dream I had last night! Iwas at my favorite steakhouse and it was really full and the steakhouse has a buffet like salad bar irl but in my dream everything was like buffet style so I went through the line and I saw these delicious t-bone steaks and decided I wanted one but by the tme I got there they were all out but they offered me this giant baked potato instead but I said no because I already had a normal sized potato and really wanted that steak, so I get back into line and see it coming up again and it's still out when I get there - I think it appeared everytime I turned around :(

now I want steak :/

oh, and if you haven't heard the news, Tokyopop is releasing the second Fruits Basket fanbook - Utage in May!!!! They're also releasing Because When I Sing You Smile which is by Takaya also

Ifthere areany typos you'll have to forgive me, I'm typing with just my left hand

Okay... I've officially procrastinated enough! Now I'm off to one more loop checking my emails, fmylife.com, friends page and probably a couple other sites before I head up to work on my college applications ... priorities :)

Halloween...

Chii's Memories
So today, my inner geek went crazy when I went to a junk store to look for a Hallween costume (procrastinators unite!) and I found a MARILL costume! It's for like little kids so the arm holes are a little weird but it's super cute and like only goes down to my thighs (thus not hindering movement) I'm gonna go trick-or-treating with my friends this year ~ probably my last, but I haven't gone since I was like 13 anyway so really it'll be quite a change from my normal Halloween sitting at home eating candy, candy and more candy so I don't get to do my sitting at home thing until Sunday (is that when Daylight savings time starts?) I think we get an extra hour of sleep in the fall right? yay!

On Sunday though I'm going to be volunteering at the thrift shop I work at on Saturdays because we're setting up for Christmas! It's usually a lot of fun and they provide pizza and soda (yum!)

Oh and apparently my manager and his daughters (who live like 2 apartments away from me) have a mild case of swine flu... ducky... if his older daughter volunteers at the shop this weekend (I conned her into working with me so when I go they aren't out of high schoolers ~ it's seriously like all 60+ ladies working there, and a couple of their husbands, also 60+ so they need people to climb up on stuff and whatnot, although they all seem quite healthy for being so old) because I'm not going to keep going after the new year I think, I'm gonna be too busy with college prep and whatnot :P yay growing up!!!

Random Babbling...

Chii's Memories
So apparently my neighbors have a mild case of swine flu (egads!) fortunately I don't talk to them much (I heard about it through the grapevine aka my nosey neighbor) at any rate I'll make sure to avoid them for a week or so >_<

Also I stopped by the library and picked up a few movies to watch over the weekend (even if it IS only Wednesday) I got Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, High School Musical 3 (yeah I know... but I watched the first two I gotta find out how it ends!) and Hannah Montana the movie (mainly because I like The Climb and a couple girls in class mentioned they liked it...) I also recently bought Australia, Nick and Norah's Infinite Playlist, The Secret Life of Bees and The Bucket List so I've got some stuff to keep me occupied for a while :P (Needless to say I still have no cable)

Today my during lunch the company that does the graduation stuff was available for placing orders so I ordered my cap and gown and also a 'memory book' which is like a scrapbook type thing (my hobby when I'm not so lazy/addicted to the computer) and I got my tassel, it's called the 'mascot tassel' because it's got our mascot on it, our mascot is the Trojan ...
(how many dirty minded people thought something besides Viking?) and what's weird is even though the school colors are green and gold the tassel is green and white O_o? but it's shiny and I'm happy ♪
My friend got three tassels - the mascot tassel, a blinged up 10 tassel and a 'status' 10 tassel
(10 = our graduating year 2010 fyi) I ended up spending like $105 on it but both my other friends spent like $160 + (although one frugal friend got away with only $50)

Have I complained about my senior sweatshirt being white yet? OMG I hate white - I've had it for less then a week and it's getting dingy :( (mostly the arms because I rub up on desks all the time)

Taylor Swift came out with 6 new songs, I only listened to the beginning of them but they didn't sound as good as I'd hoped :/

NHS is making me want to *head desk*

I also started reading The Heretic's Daughter which is starting off quite well :)
*must get back into novels*

Oh and my computer had a virus so it crashed and lost all the data (read everything for NHS, all my iconic adventures and anything else of importance) so I'm trying to figure out how to reload gimp onto my computer - it's not working out so well >_

Writer's Block: Forgive and forget?

Chii's Memories

Do you tend to forgive and forget or hold grudges? What is the longest you've ever stayed angry with someone? Is there anything the other person could say or do to win back your friendship and trust?

View 1515 Answers

I'm pretty easy come easy go about everything, I just go with the flow. That said, I suck at holding grudges, and I really, really hate when other people hold grudges especially because I just think it's a little stupid :/

I'd say "I'm sorry" because I know that I hurt him too, probably just as much if not more. Then I'd say "I love you"

Chii's Memories
So today was a no school day, but I went to school to work on my club's homecoming float, we didn't get much done - just a couple posters - but that's something I guess

Now I'm just bored...

I've been playing Pokemon Explorer's Of Darkness recently and it's actually really fun! Although I still can't beat the last bad guy :( I'm working on it...

Oh but I got my senior sweatshirt last week, it's so white >_< (I feel like I talked about this already?) but surprisingly I've had it for like 3 days and it still isn't stained (that's an achievement for me!)

I want to buy Red River 27 this weekend, I have to go up to the shopping area to go to Petco and get Advantage for my cats...

at least there's no homework this weekend, but I do have a test in Calculus 1st period and a quiz in Spanish 2nd period - but the Spanish quiz is just on the family, and it's just a review quiz

Writer's Block: War and peace

Many countries require all citizens to fulfill a mandatory period of service in the armed forces. Do you agree or disagree with this policy? Do you think the current recruitment system creates or sustains socioeconomic inequality?

I think that forcing people to fight for their country sort of eliminates the patriotism people who choose fight for it to display, and without patriotism it wouldn't be as effective because people wouldn't want to help their country they'd be obligated to so they'd only worry about saving their own skin and not completing their objective.

Also I like that I don't have to worry about being sent to war, I know I'd never survive the training

I would say "I love you" and "I'm sorry" to the same person, my friend from childhood. We ended things on a bad note and it's been like 9 years since then. I think I would say those things even if I wasn't dying if I were to see him again.

If I had only six months left to live,
I'd like to get accepted into college
and meet my dad and half siblings
find good homes for my pets
I kinda want to see Tahiti in real life >_<
and go to Japan
learn to drive
be more outgoing
I'd like to fall in love too, but I think that'd be cruel to the other person :/
